Manche Musik ist einfach ewig. Sie ist unerschütterlich und göttlich, als wäre sie auf verborgenen Akkorden geschrieben oder aus einem anderen Gestein als alles andere gehauen worden. Vielleicht hast du sie nicht ständig im Ohr oder im Kopf - stell dir einen geliebten alten Freund vor, dessen Nummer nicht mehr auf der Kurzwahltaste steht -, aber sie ist Teil deines persönlichen Algorithmus, in deinem Blut verwirbelt, bereit, dir ein elektrisches Kribbeln in den Nacken zu jagen, sobald sich ihre Geschichte wieder über dir entfaltet.

Juanita ist einer dieser Tracks. Progressiv auf die allerbeste Art und Weise ist Juanita ein solider Beweis dafür, dass Musik nicht langweilig oder formelhaft sein muss. Musik könnte so sein. Drück einfach noch mal auf Play und lass dich treiben.

Das Original war eine sechzehneinhalbminütige Gedankenkurve in Echtzeit; ein Einstiegspunkt, um tief in die Maschine einzutauchen. Juanita führt jedes Mal, wenn es gespielt wird, auf dieselbe Reise ... und doch ... jedes Mal scheint sich der Fokus zu ändern und führt dich auf eine andere Route. Pochender metronomischer Techno und Roboter-Beat-Poesie machen einem Schauer von Klaviertönen Platz, die sich um dich herum ergießen, bevor ein Reich'sches Ambiente alles in Weiß und Grün und Rot und Rot und Schwarz und Rot und Weiß und Grau und Silber und Grün und Grau und Schwarz verschmilzt. Wenn man noch einmal hinhört, könnte es von einer knurrenden Gitarre, einem umgekehrten Rhythmus und einer unzusammenhängenden Elegie angetrieben sein.
