Tony Visconti ätzt gegen Popsternchen  .
Bowie-Produzent Visconti: "Ist Adeles Stimme überhaupt echt?"

Aurora

Das hat Visconti gesagt, ich nicht :D  .

Den meinte ich ja auch.  :)

Music Radar: The 10 best record producers of 2016

Winner: David Bowie/Tony Visconti

Tony Visconti: "We were always a very intuitive team, we almost read each other’s minds. A big part of production is pre-production and each album always started with meetings, phone calls and more recently with Facetime, David’s preferred method of remote communication. Many meetings took place at least six months before Blackstar was recorded. There were several demo sessions where my original bass parts were used for the final recordings of Blackstar and the Lazarus musical.

It’s hard to say who did what, except that I play the more traditional role as in hands on recording, arranging, playing, singing backing vocals and mixing. David was, of course, a truly great ideas man. He was a great coach when I was playing or singing. He was a great coach to Donny McCaslin and the band.

But in all things we’d work side by side - no rules, no boundaries. We have rarely argued, we always seemed to be on the same page. We come from a time when we needed to see the endgame before we even started to record. You had to back then, when you were working with a limited amount of analogue tracks. Even in recent years, with modern digital recording, David would often ask if there was an extra track to do another vocal. I mean, these days you can have 200 extra tracks if you wanted, but he would slip in that mindset to maybe add a little pressure to his vocal takes.

The fact that we started recording 48 years ago gave us a lot of mutual experiences to draw from. He was always a bit shy about playing guitar or keyboards around professional session players, but never in front of me. David has worked with some great producers and made fabulous records with them, but with me I think you got more Bowie giving more of himself.”

Tony über "seinen" neuen Präsidenten:
Zitat
Since the election results I've been literally speechless here on Facebook.
I share most of the anger expressed here but I don't want to add to the fecundity of angry rants, you are all doing a good job of that (and it's a good thing too).
This president did not win the election fairly. Not only is he undignified, unqualified and immoral, he is insensitive, only concerned about his own sensitivity. I don't know what the future holds for my nation but it certainly isn't bright.
We are in the hands of a very unstable government. With this regime we could have a major war followed by a holocaust and famine. No one will win. I wish I didn't feel this way but it seems like the writing is on the wall.
I am very impressed with today's worldwide women's marches and the men who supported them. I sincerely hope this can send a message that will effect a different outcome for the next presidential election, but until then I can't see what else we can do.
I feel helpless.

Daphne Guinness - Remember to Breathe
Am 08.09.2017 veröffentlicht
Daphne Guinness returns with her first song and visual off her upcoming sophomore album,
exclusively for V. Directed by The Fashtons and produced by Tony Visconti.

Daphne & The Golden Chord—the new project from Daphne Guinness—will release their new album, the Tony Visconti-produced  "It’s  A Riot" , on March 30,2018 via Agent Anonyme/Absolute. The news arrives alongside the first single to emerge from the album,“Remember To Breathe”...

..It’s A Riot” finds Guinness continuing the partnership she established with Bowie’s right hand man when Visconti came onboard to produce her well-received 2016 debut, Optimist In Black, itself informed in part by the loss of her two close friends, Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow, to suicide.
Daphne and Visconti made the album at New York’s Avatar Studios, where recording took a deeply surreal turn when David Bowie appeared at the studio. His approval of the snippets he heard further mesmerized Daphne.....

PREMIERE: Daphne Guinness Goes Glam Rock in "Remember to Breathe"
In an exclusive for V, Daphne Guinness unveils her first track and visual from her upcoming sophomore album....

....The return, “Remember to Breathe,” is an exercise in glam-rock both by herself and the legendary Tony Visconti, who reunited with Guinness for her latest offering. “Daphne loves the Glam Rock period of British Pop [which] I produced quite a bit of,” says Visconti. Along with guitarist Malcolm Doherty, “We set to work on updating it. Although Glam is simple and direct, Daphne still embroidered the basic structures with her complex and insightful poetry—more or less what Bowie and Bolan accomplished.”....

..Visconti: “Remember To Breathe is wonderful advice.” (The producer makes a cameo in the film, practicing Tai Chi—fitting, as the martial art centers largely around deep breathing.)...

...Reflecting on their collaborative relationship, which began thanks to an  introduction by the late David Bowie, Guinness calls working with Tony Visconti “an absolute dream,” the two having developed “an unbreakable bond.” Visconti mirrors her sentiments: “I took an instant liking to her,” he says of their first meeting. “She played a demo [of] “An Evening In Space” and that blew my mind. Based on that one song I wanted to work with her.”...

Am 13. April eröffnet Sonos in Berlin seinen weltweit dritten Concept Store.

Reinhold
